The Business Analytics Analyst will turn transportation and logistics data into actionable insights, using SQL, Python, and visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI to improve routing efficiency and support strategic decision‑making.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Extract, clean, and transform large datasets from transportation management systems, telematics, and external sources.
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Tableau and Power BI to monitor key performance indicators such as on‑time delivery, lane utilization, and cost per mile.
- Perform statistical analyses and predictive modeling in Python to identify routing optimization opportunities and forecast demand trends.
- Collaborate with operations, finance, and technology teams to translate business questions into analytical solutions and actionable recommendations.
- Document data definitions, analytical methodologies, and best‑practice reporting standards to ensure consistency across the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis within logistics, transportation, or a similar industry.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation; strong Python skills for statistical analysis and automation.
- Hands‑on experience building visualizations and dashboards in Tableau or Power BI.
- Ability to communicate complex findings clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
