Business Analyst who bridges federal stakeholders and technical teams to define, document, and deliver fraud‑analytics use cases, leveraging Python, SQL, and data‑visualization tools to support investigative and forensic initiatives.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with government stakeholders to elicit, prioritize, and document investigative and analytical requirements.
- Translate mission objectives into detailed technical specifications for data scientists, engineers, and forensic accountants.
- Develop and maintain use‑case models, data flow diagrams, and process documentation for fraud‑detection initiatives.
- Perform data extraction, cleansing, and exploratory analysis using Python and SQL to support hypothesis testing and model validation.
- Create visual dashboards and reports that communicate findings to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Coordinate with project managers to track deliverables, manage scope changes, and ensure compliance with public‑trust security requirements.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a business analyst or similar role in fraud analytics, investigations, or related government programs.
- Proficiency in Python (pandas, NumPy) and SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
- Strong ability to produce clear, actionable documentation and visualizations (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams including data scientists, engineers, and forensic accountants.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
