Design, implement, and maintain building management and utility automation systems for a biopharmaceutical manufacturing site, leveraging PLCs, SCADA, HVAC controls, and Python scripting to ensure reliable, energy‑efficient operations.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, program, and commission PLC‑based control solutions for building management, utilities, and HVAC systems.
- Develop and maintain SCADA/HMI interfaces to monitor and optimize plant utility performance.
- Integrate industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, OPC-UA) with existing automation infrastructure.
- Perform root‑cause analysis and corrective actions on system faults, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with facilities, engineering, and validation teams to meet regulatory and safety standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Automation Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience programming PLCs (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens) and configuring SCADA/HMI platforms.
- Proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages for data handling and automation tasks.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, utility, and building management control strategies.
- Experience with industrial networking protocols and troubleshooting of control hardware.
