Systems Engineer
Design, install, and maintain computer‑controlled building automation systems, programming HVAC, lighting and security equipment while troubleshooting and optimizing for energy efficiency.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and program Building Automation Systems (BAS) for HVAC, lighting, and security equipment.
- Develop and modify control sequences, logic diagrams, and set points to meet performance and energy‑efficiency goals.
- Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on mechanical and electrical components using specialized tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate system integration.
- Collaborate with facilities teams to troubleshoot system issues and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Document system configurations, maintenance activities, and performance metrics for compliance and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience with PLC programming and BAS platforms (e.g., Johnson Controls, Siemens, Honeywell).
- Strong knowledge of HVAC control strategies, electrical schematics, and diagnostic instrumentation.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, wiring diagrams, and control schematics.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently or within a multidisciplinary team.
