Software Engineer
Experienced Building Automation Specialist who designs, documents, and manages submittals for HVAC control systems, coordinating between sales, engineering, and installation teams to ensure timely, accurate project delivery.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and prepare complete engineering submittals for building automation systems, including control schematics, point lists, and sequence of operation documents.
- Collaborate with sales, engineering, project management, and field installation teams to align design intent with client requirements and project schedules.
- Review and verify HVAC control designs for compliance with industry standards, code requirements, and project specifications.
- Maintain and update control drawings and documentation using AutoCAD and related CAD tools.
- Track submittal progress, resolve technical issues, and ensure on‑time delivery of all deliverables.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in building automation or HVAC control engineering.
- Proficiency with control system design, programming, and documentation (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, PLCs).
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD or similar drafting software for creating control drawings.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage multiple submittals and coordinate cross‑functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
