Software Engineer
Design and lead building automation projects, providing technical guidance, estimating hardware costs, and managing a small engineering team while interfacing with customers and creating instrumentation and electrical designs.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a project team of 2‑5 engineers, assigning tasks and ensuring technical quality throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct customer meetings to gather requirements, present design concepts, and maintain ongoing relationships.
- Develop detailed instrumentation and electrical designs, including creating instrument lists from P&ID drawings and selecting appropriate sensors, transmitters, and control devices.
- Prepare accurate project proposals by estimating hardware costs, engineering effort, and schedule impacts.
- Configure, program, and commission PLC‑based HVAC control systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in building automation, HVAC control, or instrumentation design.
- Proficiency with PLC programming, AutoCAD, and interpreting P&ID drawings.
- Strong project management skills, including task planning, cost estimation, and team coordination.
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and internal collaboration.
