Software Engineer
Mid‑level Broadcast IT Engineer responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining video‑production and streaming infrastructure, including Linux servers, network gear, cloud services, and automation scripts.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, install, and support broadcast‑grade video production and streaming systems across on‑premise and cloud environments.
- Maintain and troubleshoot Linux servers, virtualized platforms (VMware), and network infrastructure to ensure 99.9% uptime for live events.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts (Python, Bash) for provisioning, monitoring, and incident response.
- Implement and manage cloud services (AWS) for content delivery, storage, and scaling of broadcast workflows.
- Collaborate with production, graphics, and esports teams to integrate new technologies and resolve technical issues during live broadcasts.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in broadcast or media‑technology IT, with strong Linux system administration skills.
- Proficiency in networking concepts (VLANs, routing, QoS) and experience with broadcast‑grade switches and routers.
- Hands‑on experience with video streaming protocols (RTMP, SRT, HLS) and related hardware/software.
- Solid scripting abilities in Python or Bash for automation and monitoring.
- Experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, CloudFront) and virtualization platforms such as VMware.
