Bridge Engineering Professional Associate responsible for load rating existing bridges, designing new bridge components, and preparing detailed construction documents using AutoCAD and other civil engineering tools.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Perform load rating analyses on existing bridges and culverts to assess structural integrity and compliance with safety standards.
- Design bridge elements, retaining walls, foundations, and related structures, ensuring adherence to engineering codes and project specifications.
- Prepare preliminary and detailed construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for bridge projects.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate design, construction, and inspection activities across multiple projects.
- Assist in the development of project schedules, budgets, and quality control plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or related field).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other civil engineering design software.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with load rating and structural analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documentation and team collaboration.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
