Blade Repair Engineer responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and validating composite blade structures using advanced CAD, FEA, and inspection techniques to ensure airworthiness and performance.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed inspections and failure analysis of composite blades to identify damage and root causes.
- Design and execute repair plans, including cutting, bonding, and curing procedures, ensuring compliance with aviation standards.
- Utilize CAD and FEA tools to model repaired sections, assess structural integrity, and predict performance.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule repairs, manage inventory of repair materials, and document work orders.
- Perform post-repair testing, including non-destructive evaluation and load testing, to validate repair quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in composite repair or structural maintenance for aerospace components.
- Proficiency with CAD (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks) and FEA (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus) software.
- Strong knowledge of aviation regulations (FAA/ICAO) and quality assurance processes.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
