Research Engineer
Lead bioinformatics analysis of single‑cell and spatial omics data, collaborating with researchers to design experiments, develop pipelines, and interpret results using Python, R, and advanced statistical methods.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain bioinformatics pipelines for single‑cell and spatial omics data processing.
- Collaborate with experimental scientists to plan studies, select appropriate technologies, and troubleshoot data quality issues.
- Perform statistical analyses, differential expression, trajectory inference, and spatial pattern detection.
- Generate comprehensive reports, visualizations, and presentations to communicate findings to cross‑functional teams.
- Stay current with emerging tools and methods, evaluating and integrating new software into workflows.
Requirements
- PhD or Master’s in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related field.
- Proficiency in Python and R for data analysis and pipeline development.
- Hands‑on experience with single‑cell and spatial omics platforms (e.g., 10x Genomics, Visium).
- Strong statistical background and ability to interpret complex biological data.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
