About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize bioinformatics pipelines for next‑generation sequencing and other high‑throughput assays.
- Collaborate with researchers to define project objectives, select appropriate analytical methods, and interpret results.
- Maintain and update computational tools, databases, and documentation to ensure reproducibility and compliance.
- Provide training and support to faculty and graduate students on data analysis best practices.
- Generate comprehensive reports and visualizations that communicate findings to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Python and R for large‑scale genomic data analysis.
- Strong background in next‑generation sequencing data processing (RNA‑seq, ATAC‑seq, WGS, etc.).
- Familiarity with bioinformatics tools (e.g., STAR, GATK, DESeq2, Bowtie2) and workflow managers (Snakemake, Nextflow).
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced research environment.
- Effective communication skills for presenting complex results to diverse stakeholders.
