BI Data Analyst designing, delivering, and supporting enterprise‑grade business intelligence solutions for commodity trading and trade lifecycle activities using Power BI, Power Platform, and robust data modeling techniques.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights for commodity trading, shipping, and risk management teams.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into data models, and deliver solutions that meet performance and usability standards.
- Implement ETL processes, data transformations, and data quality checks to ensure accurate, timely data for analytics.
- Utilize DAX and Power Query to create complex calculations, measures, and data relationships across large datasets.
- Support the Power Platform ecosystem, including Power Apps and Power Automate, to streamline data workflows and automate routine tasks.
- Document data architecture, report specifications, and best practices for future maintenance and scalability.
Requirements
- Proven experience building enterprise‑grade Power BI solutions in a fast‑paced trading environment.
- Strong SQL skills and familiarity with relational databases and data warehousing concepts.
- Hands‑on experience with DAX, Power Query, and Power Platform components.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across cross‑functional teams.
