Senior Engineer leading design, integration, and optimization of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) using advanced power electronics, battery management, and control strategies to deliver reliable, high‑performance energy solutions.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of BESS architectures, including battery selection, thermal management, and power conversion modules.
- Develop and validate control algorithms in MATLAB/Simulink for state‑of‑charge estimation, fault detection, and grid‑support services.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate BESS with renewable generation and grid infrastructure, ensuring compliance with IEC and UL standards.
- Perform system‑level simulations, thermal and electrical analyses, and prototype testing to meet performance and safety targets.
- Document design decisions, create technical reports, and support certification and commissioning activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in battery energy storage or power electronics design.
- Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, PSpice, or equivalent simulation tools.
- Strong understanding of battery chemistries, BMS architecture, and grid interconnection standards.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
