Lead the design and implementation of advanced BMS solutions for EV Li‑Ion and LiFePO4 batteries, driving architecture, control logic, and thermal strategies using model‑based design and rigorous testing.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define and architect BMS solutions for EV Li‑Ion and LiFePO4 battery packs, integrating electrical system interfaces and safety requirements.
- Engineer BMS functions and software, including SOC/SOH estimation, cell balancing, life‑cycle optimization, and thermal management algorithms.
- Collaborate with EV system and calibration teams to specify electrical interfaces, develop DVPs, and conduct rigorous testing and validation.
- Apply model‑based design techniques to model, simulate, and validate BMS control strategies before hardware implementation.
- Lead configuration management, documentation, and continuous improvement of BMS design and performance.
Requirements
- Strong background in battery chemistry, particularly Li‑Ion and LiFePO4 technologies.
- Proven experience designing BMS architecture and control algorithms for electric vehicles.
- Hands‑on expertise with SOC/SOH estimation, cell balancing, and thermal management.
- Familiarity with model‑based design tools and simulation environments.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced environment.
