About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain a scalable, event‑driven backend for an AI‑powered school operating system.
- Refactor prototype code to a production‑grade architecture, ensuring high concurrency and low latency.
- Diagnose and resolve Python Global Interpreter Lock (GIL) bottlenecks, optimizing multi‑threaded and async workloads.
- Collaborate with data scientists and product teams to integrate AI agents and real‑time tutoring services.
- Implement robust monitoring, logging, and automated testing to guarantee reliability at scale.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Python, with deep understanding of concurrency models and async programming.
- Experience building distributed, event‑driven systems that handle high traffic and real‑time data.
- Hands‑on knowledge of performance tuning, profiling, and GIL mitigation techniques.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and a passion for building reliable, maintainable code.
