Backend Engineer
Lead the design and implementation of scalable backend services powering AI agent infrastructure, leveraging Python, Node.js, and cloud-native tools to deliver high‑availability, low‑latency solutions in a fast‑moving startup environment.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and develop robust, scalable backend services that support AI agent workflows and data pipelines.
- Design and maintain RESTful and gRPC APIs, ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) for rapid deployment and scaling.
- Collaborate with data scientists and product teams to translate AI models into production‑ready services.
- Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and continuously optimize performance and cost.
Requirements
- Proven experience building backend systems in Python or Node.js.
- Strong knowledge of AWS services (EC2, ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS) and cloud architecture best practices.
- Hands‑on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tooling.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and a passion for building production‑grade software.
- Self‑motivated, comfortable working remotely, and able to take ownership in a founder‑level environment.
