Backend Engineer
Lead a backend development team, design and implement scalable Node.js services, and ensure high performance, security, and reliability for product‑focused applications.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of backend engineers, fostering best practices and continuous improvement.
- Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance, scalable Node.js services and APIs.
- Architect micro‑service solutions that meet reliability, security, and latency requirements.
- Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and drive automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with product, frontend, and DevOps teams to deliver end‑to‑end features on schedule.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 6 years focused on Node.js.
- Proven track record leading backend teams in product‑based environments.
- Deep understanding of scalable system design, performance tuning, and security best practices.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, micro‑services architecture, and modern databases (SQL/NoSQL).
- Strong problem‑solving skills, effective communication, and ability to drive technical decisions.
