Backend Developer skilled in building scalable RESTful and GraphQL APIs, designing microservices, and optimizing server‑side performance using Python, Node.js, Docker, and AWS.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain secure, high‑performance RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints for web and mobile applications.
- Implement microservice architectures, ensuring loose coupling, fault tolerance, and easy scalability.
- Write clean, modular, and testable code in Python and Node.js, following best practices and coding standards.
- Manage containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes to streamline deployment pipelines.
- Optimize database interactions, work with relational (SQL) and NoSQL stores, and ensure data integrity and security.
- Collaborate with front‑end, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver end‑to‑end features and resolve production issues quickly.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience building backend services with Python or Node.js.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design, GraphQL, and microservice patterns.
- Hands‑on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as AWS.
- Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases, and ability to write efficient queries.
- Solid grasp of security best practices, performance tuning, and automated testing.
