Lead the design and delivery of scalable Azure-based data solutions for London Market insurance, leveraging Databricks, Data Factory, Data Lake, and Delta Lake to transform underwriting, claims, and policy data while ensuring robust governance and modeling practices.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect end‑to‑end data pipelines using Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Data Lake to support underwriting, claims, and policy administration workflows.
- Design and implement Delta Lake tables and data models that enable real‑time analytics and reporting across the insurance value chain.
- Define and enforce data governance policies, including data quality, lineage, and security controls for sensitive insurance data.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate insurance domain requirements into scalable cloud data architecture solutions.
- Lead performance tuning, cost optimization, and scalability initiatives for large‑scale data workloads.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in data architecture with a focus on Azure cloud services.
- Deep expertise in Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and Delta Lake.
- Proven track record in data modeling, governance, and building enterprise‑grade data platforms.
- Strong understanding of London Market insurance processes and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally with technical and business teams.
