About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and lead end‑to‑end database migration projects for large enterprises, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.
- Design migration strategies using AWS DMS, custom scripts, and third‑party tools, tailoring solutions to SQL and NoSQL source systems.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to assess source environments, define migration scope, and create detailed migration plans.
- Implement performance tuning, security hardening, and compliance controls throughout the migration lifecycle.
- Provide technical guidance, conduct knowledge transfer sessions, and mentor junior architects and engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in database migration, with deep expertise in AWS DMS and related services.
- Strong background in SQL and NoSQL databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB).
- Proven ability to design scalable, secure, and resilient cloud architectures on AWS.
- Excellent communication skills and experience working with multi‑national teams.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Database – Specialty are a plus.
