About the Role
The AVP Analytics (Data Science) will be responsible for end-to-end delivery of projects within the analytics and machine learning domain. This role involves close collaboration with the Senior WPB Leadership team to prioritize immediate requirements and anticipate future needs in Analytics, ML, BI/MI, Campaign, and data. The incumbent will work on prioritized Analytics projects, managing the trigger engine, employee advocacy program, and critical ad-hoc requests from Senior Management/Group/Region, ensuring high-quality delivery of actionable insights, modelling, product, network analytics, and business analysis.
Principal Responsibilities
- Liaise with colleagues in INM, D&A colleagues across Region & Global, and with Region/Global business leaders to deliver impactful analytics projects.
- Possess in-depth business knowledge across a breadth of functional areas within Retail Banking.
- Be proficient in evaluating new technologies and identifying practical business applications to develop enhanced business value and increase operating efficiency.
- Provide technical/functional leadership to multiple teams and ensure execution of projects/analysis as per agreed timelines with accuracy and quality.
- Provide strategic and tactical analytics systems support across the organization.
- Interface with vendors to determine immediate information requirements and anticipate future needs for building robust databases for future analytics.
- Manage projects/sprints and small working groups towards delivery of Proposition, Liabilities, Assets, Wealth, Customer, and Risk management analytics.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree/Graduation or higher as required for the role.
- At least 4 years of Analytics Experience focused primarily in the Banking & Financial Services Domain.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills in handling complex business problems with the help of analytics.
- Knowledge and high fluidity in advanced SAS and SQL is mandatory.
- Good handle over Python and Qliksense is desirable.
- Strong track record of stakeholder management across business functions.
- Exceptionally strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
