Lead the development and verification of avionics FlatSAT hardware, driving system integration, test planning, and compliance with aerospace standards using C/C++, MATLAB, and DO-254 processes.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and verification of FlatSAT avionics hardware for lunar and cislunar missions.
- Define and execute test strategies, including hardware‑in‑the‑loop and flight‑ready validation.
- Ensure compliance with DO‑254, NASA, and other aerospace standards throughout the product lifecycle.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate avionics subsystems into the overall spacecraft architecture.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical direction for hardware and firmware development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field with 8+ years of avionics hardware experience.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and MATLAB for hardware modeling, simulation, and firmware development.
- Hands‑on experience with FlatSAT or similar modular avionics platforms and system integration.
- Demonstrated knowledge of DO‑254 certification processes and aerospace quality standards.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills in a fast‑paced, mission‑critical environment.
