Automation Testing Consultant responsible for gathering requirements, designing test strategies, developing automated test scripts, executing test plans, and supporting software integration using tools like Selenium and Java within Agile and CI/CD environments.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops to capture detailed user requirements and translate them into clear test objectives.
- Collaborate with design and development teams to understand software specifications and create comprehensive test documentation.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts using Selenium and Java, adhering to design specifications and coding standards.
- Execute test plans, analyze results, log defects, and work closely with developers to drive timely resolution and improve software quality.
- Support the integration and release of new software features by participating in CI/CD pipelines and ensuring automated tests are incorporated into build processes.
Requirements
- Strong experience in test automation using Selenium, Java, or equivalent frameworks.
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and participation in sprint activities.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab) to integrate automated tests into release pipelines.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills for documenting requirements and reporting defects.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and adapt to evolving project needs.
