About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and calibration of automated sortation, conveyor, barcode scanner, and DWS equipment.
- Monitor equipment performance metrics to maintain system availability and achieve a target uptime of 98% or higher.
- Maintain detailed maintenance logs, equipment documentation, and compliance records.
- Respond promptly to equipment failures, alarms, and downtime events, providing on‑site technical support.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, PLC, and control system issues, implementing corrective actions to minimize production impact.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve equipment reliability and optimize material handling processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting in an industrial automation environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including sensors, drives, and conveyor components.
- Hands‑on experience maintaining and calibrating material handling equipment such as sortation systems and barcode scanners.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and control system documentation.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, with a focus on rapid root‑cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
