QA Engineer
Design, program, and maintain PLC‑based control systems, HMI/SCADA interfaces, and industrial networks to improve equipment performance and reliability in a manufacturing environment.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop PLC control logic for new and existing production equipment.
- Create, configure, and maintain HMI/SCADA applications to provide real‑time monitoring and operator control.
- Implement and troubleshoot industrial Ethernet, fieldbus, and other networking solutions to ensure reliable communication between devices.
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and project teams to define automation requirements and translate them into functional designs.
- Perform commissioning, testing, and documentation of control systems, including wiring diagrams, ladder logic, and functional specifications.
- Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of automation assets to maximize uptime and efficiency.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience programming PLCs (e.g., Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, Schneider) in a production environment.
- Proficiency with HMI/SCADA platforms such as Wonderware, Ignition, or FactoryTalk.
- Strong knowledge of industrial networking protocols (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus, OPC-UA).
- Background in electrical controls design, including schematics, panel layout, and safety standards.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally, solve complex automation problems, and document solutions clearly.
