What You'll Do

As an Automation Engineer, you'll play a key role in the design, implementation, troubleshooting, commissioning, and continuous improvement of industrial automation systems supporting airport operations.

Responsibilities include:

Controls Engineering & PLC Systems

• Design, develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC-based control systems supporting airport automation.
• Configure, troubleshoot, and support Allen-Bradley PLC platforms using Studio 5000 and related software.
• Diagnose PLC hardware, I/O systems, relays, and field devices to maintain reliable system performance.
• Develop and implement control system improvements that enhance operational efficiency and long-term system reliability.
• Support system commissioning, testing, validation, and operational improvements.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions.

Automation Systems Integration

• Design and integrate industrial automation solutions across electrical, mechanical, and controls systems.
• Configure and troubleshoot Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), encoders, industrial sensors, and networked field devices.
• Configure industrial communication networks and support field device integration.
• Develop, troubleshoot, and support HMI and SCADA applications.
• Collaborate with Controls Field Technicians during installations, commissioning, troubleshooting, and system improvements.

Electrical & Controls Engineering

• Develop, review, and interpret electrical schematics, control drawings, and engineering documentation.
• Support control panel modifications, system upgrades, and electrical integration activities.
• Troubleshoot PLC hardware, I/O modules, motors, relays, and associated field devices.
• Verify system functionality through testing, commissioning, and field validation.
