QA Engineer
Mid‑level Automation Engineer responsible for designing, programming, and commissioning advanced control systems and robotic solutions for live‑event productions, leveraging PLCs, Python, and industrial networking technologies.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and program PLC‑based control systems for stage equipment, rigging, and special effects.
- Integrate and commission robotic platforms, motion‑control devices, and sensor networks to meet show‑specific performance requirements.
- Develop custom automation scripts and tools in Python and LabVIEW to streamline testing, diagnostics, and real‑time monitoring.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and creative teams to translate artistic concepts into reliable, repeatable automation solutions.
- Perform on‑site installation, troubleshooting, and fine‑tuning during rehearsals and live events, ensuring safety and performance standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field with 2–4 years of automation experience.
- Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, or similar) and industrial networking protocols (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, DMX).
- Hands‑on experience with robotics integration, motion control, and sensor systems.
- Strong programming skills in Python and LabVIEW for test automation and data acquisition.
- Ability to work in fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environments and travel for on‑site deployments.
