Software Engineer
Design, program, and maintain PLC‑based automation and control systems, lead capital projects, and collaborate across operations, maintenance, and engineering to boost equipment reliability and process performance.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, program, and commission PLC, HMI, and machine‑vision control solutions for manufacturing equipment.
- Lead capital automation projects from concept through detailed design, procurement, installation, and start‑up.
- Develop and maintain electrical schematics and wiring diagrams using CAD tools.
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and process efficiency.
- Provide technical support for troubleshooting, system optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all automation work complies with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience programming PLCs (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, etc.) and configuring HMIs.
- Proficiency with machine‑vision integration and electrical CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical).
- Demonstrated ability to manage project scope, schedule, budget, and equipment procurement.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced environment.
