QA Engineer
Design, implement, and maintain highly available Aurora PostgreSQL solutions on AWS, focusing on automation, performance tuning, and scalable database operations for enterprise workloads.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, deploy, and automate Aurora PostgreSQL clusters on AWS to meet high‑availability and scalability requirements.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure‑as‑code scripts (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform) for provisioning and lifecycle management.
- Monitor database health, conduct performance tuning, and optimize SQL queries to ensure optimal throughput and latency.
- Implement backup, restore, and disaster‑recovery strategies, including point‑in‑time recovery and cross‑region replication.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate database changes into CI/CD pipelines.
Requirements
- 7–10 years of experience with PostgreSQL, specifically Aurora PostgreSQL on AWS.
- Strong expertise in AWS services (EC2, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, RDS) and infrastructure automation tools.
- Proven track record in database performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning.
- Hands‑on experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation and monitoring.
- Solid understanding of networking, security best practices, and high‑availability architectures in cloud environments.
