Software Engineer
Support senior architects in evolving combat system architecture, performing DCE activities, assessing mission system changes, and reviewing technical artefacts to ensure compliance with requirements and interface standards.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the lead Systems Architect in updating and maintaining the Combat System Architecture documentation.
- Execute Design Change Engineering (DCE) work packages, focusing on technology refreshes and new capability integration.
- Evaluate mission system modifications against functional requirements and overall combat system design, escalating issues as needed.
- Review and validate technical documents, interface specifications, and architecture artefacts for accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to resolve architectural discrepancies and support sustainment activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field.
- Experience with Model‑Based Systems Engineering tools (e.g., SysML, DOORS) and combat or mission system environments.
- Proficiency in C++ and embedded systems development.
- Strong analytical skills for requirements assessment and impact analysis.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities to work under guidance of senior engineers.
