About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, secure cloud architectures on AWS to support end‑to‑end patient referral and payment workflows.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and healthcare provider teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Develop, document, and maintain RESTful APIs that connect electronic health record (EHR) systems, insurance platforms, and internal services.
- Ensure data integrity and compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, HL7) during integration and transmission.
- Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, and troubleshooting to guarantee high availability and low latency for critical services.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience designing and deploying solutions on AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc.).
- Strong understanding of REST API design, authentication (OAuth/OIDC), and data exchange standards used in healthcare.
- Hands‑on experience with data integration tools or frameworks (e.g., Apache Kafka, FHIR, HL7).
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or Node.js.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced startup environment.
