Software Engineer
Supports global software license compliance by tracking usage, reviewing contracts, and producing dashboards. Advises stakeholders on licensing terms and remediation, ensuring adherence to licensing agreements and optimizing software spend.
Overview:
The Associate Software Asset Management Analyst is responsible for supporting worldwide software license compliance on behalf of TD SYNNEX by monitoring and tracking software usage and remediating licensing variances. Supports software compliance purchases by reviewing proposed licensing terms, and contracts for new engagements, to understand licensing liabilities and parameters for usage. Performs company-wide activities within the Software Asset Management tool such as licensing tracking, and producing compliance reporting / dashboards shared with IT and business stakeholders worldwide. Acts as a global consulting service, to advise users regarding licensing terms and conditions, and software usage rights for all software owned by TD SYNNEX . The Associate Software Asset Management Analyst is a key role to drive software compliance best practices, continuous process improvements, awareness and to lead efforts towards licensing optimization resulting in money savings.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Required:
• Administers the software asset management tool and the licensing database, collects proof of entitlement, reviews and processes licensing terms and conditions, uploads in the compliance tool in order to get a current software licensing database. Understands software usage rights, monitors and tracks usage and proposes different alternatives for licensing optimization and cost reduction. (30%)
• Acts as a user interface in order to analyze and approve software requests according to software availability and company’s standards, challenges business justifications and researches and proposes alternatives according to Company’s best practices. (40%)
• Partners with global IT and Business community to ensure compliancy, performs the gathering and monitoring of software counts / subscriptions, suggests and coordinates software cleanups, and monitors any installations in breach. (20%)
• Suggests, maintains and performs continuous process improvements according to the Software Asset Management Mission, driving efficiency, compliance and cost savings. Maintains the Software Asset Management dashboards. (10%)

Qualifications:
Experience:
• No prior experience necessary.
Education & Certifications:
• Master's / Postgraduate Degree with Technical / IT Background Field of Study preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree with Technical / IT Background field of study required.
Working Conditions:
• Occasional non-standard work hours or overtime as business requires.
