Systems Engineer
Support daily spacecraft ground‑station activities as part of a Mission Operations team, handling command and control, telemetry processing, and system troubleshooting using Python and C++ in a secure environment.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control satellite health and status from the ground station, executing command sequences and responding to anomalies.
- Analyze telemetry data, develop scripts and tools in Python/C++ to automate data processing and fault detection.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate new payloads, software updates, and hardware upgrades into the operations workflow.
- Maintain and update operational procedures, configuration baselines, and documentation for mission control activities.
- Provide real‑time support during launch, orbit insertion, and routine mission phases, ensuring compliance with security and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in satellite or spacecraft ground‑system operations, including telemetry, tracking, and command (TT&C).
- Proficiency in Python and C++ for developing automation scripts and diagnostic tools.
- Familiarity with ground‑station hardware, RF communications, and mission‑critical software environments.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance as required.
