About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct world‑class research in generative AI, agentic AI, multi‑modal learning, and small language models, producing high‑impact journal and conference papers.
- Secure competitive research funding from government, industry, and international bodies.
- Supervise and mentor undergraduate, honours, and doctoral candidates, fostering a vibrant research community.
- Develop and deliver graduate‑level courses and curriculum modules in AI, machine learning, and data science.
- Translate research outcomes into real‑world applications through industry collaborations, prototypes, and technology transfer.
Requirements
- PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related field with a strong publication record in top AI venues.
- Demonstrated expertise in generative AI, large language models, and multi‑modal deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
- Experience obtaining and managing research grants and leading collaborative projects.
- Proficiency in Python and modern AI toolkits, with a track record of developing scalable AI solutions.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to teaching and mentorship at the university level.
