Associate Engineer, Fluid Dynamics Engineering - Vertiv
Software Engineer
Perform CFD and thermal analyses of systems and components using Ansys suite and other tools, create parametric CAD models, generate meshes, run steady and transient simulations, and deliver clear technical reports with design recommendations.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and prepare CFD models for system‑level and component‑level analyses using RealityDC, Celcius EC, Ansys Fluent, Icepak, Optislang, and CFX.
- Create and validate parametric CAD geometry, perform model checks, and generate high‑quality meshes for steady‑state and transient flow/thermal simulations.
- Execute sensitivity studies to evaluate design variables and assess performance impacts.
- Analyze simulation results, interpret fluid flow and heat transfer behavior, and formulate recommendations for design improvements.
- Produce concise technical reports and presentation materials that clearly communicate findings, assumptions, and suggested actions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace, or a related field with a focus on fluid dynamics.
- Proficiency in CFD tools, especially the Ansys product family (Fluent, Icepak, CFX, Optislang) and experience with RealityDC or Celcius EC.
- Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar) for building and modifying geometry.
- Hands‑on experience in mesh generation, thermal analysis, and conducting sensitivity or parametric studies.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective written and verbal communication skills.
