About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enforce enterprise data standards, policies, and procedures to ensure data consistency and integrity across all business units.
- Lead cross‑functional teams in the creation and maintenance of metadata catalogs, data dictionaries, and data lineage documentation.
- Collaborate with data architects, data scientists, and IT to design scalable data models that support analytics, reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee data quality initiatives, including profiling, cleansing, and validation processes, to meet internal and external audit requirements.
- Act as a subject matter expert on data governance, providing guidance and training to stakeholders on best practices and compliance mandates.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in data management, data governance, or related fields within a regulated industry.
- Proven track record of implementing data standards and metadata frameworks at an enterprise level.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, data modeling concepts, and data quality tools.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior leadership and cross‑functional teams.
- Experience with regulatory compliance (e.g., FDA, EMA, GDPR) and data privacy best practices.
