About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the biomarker data science strategy across multiple therapeutic areas, aligning analytics with clinical development goals.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of data scientists, bioinformaticians, and statisticians to design, build, and validate predictive models and biomarker signatures.
- Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python, R, and SQL to integrate clinical, genomic, and proteomic datasets.
- Collaborate with clinical, translational, and regulatory partners to translate analytical insights into actionable biomarker strategies for trial design and patient stratification.
- Drive adoption of advanced statistical and machine learning methods, ensuring rigorous validation and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Mentor junior staff, foster a culture of scientific excellence, and represent the organization in external scientific forums.
Requirements
- PhD or advanced degree in Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Computational Biology, or a related field with 8+ years of experience in biomarker analytics.
- Proficiency in Python and R for data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning implementation.
- Strong background in clinical data management, including experience with SQL databases and handling high‑dimensional omics data.
- Demonstrated track record of delivering biomarker‑driven insights that impacted clinical trial design or regulatory submissions.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders and present complex findings to scientific and executive audiences.
