About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy machine‑learning models to support government research and operational initiatives.
- Perform data cleaning, feature engineering, and statistical analysis on structured and unstructured data sources.
- Create visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with senior scientists and domain experts to define problem statements and evaluation metrics.
- Utilize cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) for data storage, processing, and model scaling.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python and its data‑science libraries (pandas, scikit‑learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch).
- Experience with statistical modeling, hypothesis testing, and predictive analytics.
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
