Design and deliver secure, cloud‑based solutions for Transport for NSW, leveraging Azure services, identity management, and network security to protect extensive datasets and support critical transport projects.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement secure Azure‑based architectures that meet transport‑industry compliance and performance requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to project teams on cybersecurity best practices, threat modelling, and risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with data owners to define security controls for large, heterogeneous datasets and ensure proper data governance.
- Lead identity and access management strategy, integrating Azure AD, conditional access, and privileged access management across solutions.
- Conduct security assessments, vulnerability analyses, and incident response planning to maintain a resilient environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in solution architecture with a focus on Azure cloud services and security design.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, IAM, network security, and risk management methodologies.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear guidance for non‑technical stakeholders.
- Experience working on large‑scale public sector or transport projects is highly desirable.
- Relevant certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect, CISSP, or CISM preferred.
