Assist the Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacy with data science initiatives, building robust data pipelines, modeling health data, and ensuring data quality for epidemiological research.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for ingesting and transforming pharmacology and pharmacy datasets.
- Create and validate data models that support epidemiological analyses and research studies.
- Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and remediation processes to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with researchers to translate domain requirements into technical specifications and analytical workflows.
- Document data lineage, transformation logic, and best practices for reproducible research.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Python and SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Experience with data modeling, ETL tools, and building reliable data pipelines.
- Strong understanding of data quality frameworks and ability to implement validation rules.
- Background in epidemiology, pharmacology, or related health sciences is preferred.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently in a research environment.
