Assistant Product Manager supporting product development through proposal creation, cost estimation, and design oversight, collaborating closely with engineering and commercial teams to deliver accurate project scopes and budgets.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Application Engineering in developing technical solutions and detailed cost estimates for new projects.
- Support the preliminary design process, coordinating bid solicitation from suppliers and ensuring alignment with project requirements.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to refine project scope, scope changes, and pre‑award budgets.
- Act as a backup customer interface, communicating technical and commercial details to internal stakeholders.
- Track project milestones, deliverables, and budget adherence, providing regular status updates to senior product leadership.
Requirements
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with a focus on detail.
- Experience in cost estimation, proposal development, or project coordination within a technical environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities for cross‑functional collaboration.
- Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to work independently while supporting a senior Product Manager or Director.
