Software Engineer
Lead strategic advancement initiatives for a leading engineering school, driving alumni engagement, major gifts, and grant acquisition through data‑driven outreach and collaborative event planning.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive advancement strategy aligned with the school’s priorities, targeting alumni, parents, and corporate partners.
- Lead major gift and grant solicitation efforts, including prospect research, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
- Plan and coordinate high‑impact events and campaigns that showcase research, student achievements, and institutional milestones.
- Manage and analyze donor data using Salesforce, generating reports to inform strategy and demonstrate impact.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and external stakeholders to identify funding opportunities and craft compelling proposals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of advancement experience in higher education, with a proven track record in major gifts and grant writing.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Salesforce and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to craft persuasive narratives for diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with alumni, donors, and corporate partners.
