ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership

Management
- Effectively manages assignments and priorities to ensure the fulfillment of projects, tasks, and responsibilities
- Follows suggested procedures to ensure the highest standards of risk management, employee safety, and risk avoidance
- Recommends policies, procedures, and training in concert with other department personnel
- Ensures workflow processes are documented and followed across the department and works with team members to ensure that the proper information is being captured
Technical
- Understands reports using Microsoft Power BI, Excel, and other reporting tools to support asset management decisions, with a preference for skills to create Microsoft Power BI reports.
- Understands the databases for multiple asset management systems to provide information to operational managers looking for data to support their operational needs
- Captures, manages, and shares asset information (condition, age, cost, etc.) according to established processes with various departmental cross-functional teams, including Finance, Engineering Services, Public Works, and Environmental Services
- Conducts on-site inspections of City assets (e.g., infrastructure, equipment) to verify or collect relevant data
- Supports the creation and modification of datasets and maps in geographic information systems (GIS) as needed by the department
