Software Engineer
Lead a regional team in designing and implementing secure health data integration solutions using FHIR, HL7, and cloud platforms, driving data quality, compliance, and analytics for healthcare stakeholders.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a cross‑functional team of health information specialists across multiple sites, ensuring alignment with regional strategy and company objectives.
- Architect and oversee the implementation of FHIR and HL7 data exchange standards, ensuring seamless integration with partner systems and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Drive data governance initiatives, including data quality frameworks, metadata management, and audit trails to support secure, actionable health data.
- Collaborate with data engineering, analytics, and product teams to deliver scalable SQL and Python solutions on AWS for data ingestion, transformation, and reporting.
- Engage with external stakeholders—providers, payers, researchers—to understand data needs, gather requirements, and translate them into technical specifications.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in health information management or related fields, with a proven track record in leading teams.
- Deep expertise in FHIR, HL7 v2/v3, and other healthcare data standards.
- Strong background in SQL, Python, and cloud data platforms (AWS).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
- Experience with data governance, privacy regulations (HIPAA, GDPR), and secure data sharing practices.
