Software Engineer
Lead the design and deployment of scalable, fair recommendation engines for talent acquisition, leveraging ML, Python, and AWS to enhance job seeker and recruiter experiences worldwide.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, prototype, and production‑grade recommendation models that power Amazon Jobs and internal hiring platforms at global scale.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define business metrics, collect data, and iterate on model performance while ensuring fairness and explainability.
- Implement end‑to‑end ML pipelines using Python, AWS services (SageMaker, Glue, Lambda), and data engineering best practices.
- Conduct rigorous A/B testing, analyze results, and translate insights into actionable product improvements.
- Document model logic, data lineage, and compliance requirements for internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, or related field with strong ML background.
- 5+ years of experience building recommendation or ranking systems in production.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and AWS cloud services.
- Deep understanding of bias mitigation, fairness, and explainable AI techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
