About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy generative AI and machine learning models to inform product assortment, pricing, and merchandising decisions for Amazon’s private brands.
- Collaborate with economists, engineers, and product managers to translate business objectives into data‑driven solutions.
- Conduct rigorous statistical analysis and economic modeling to evaluate the impact of product inputs such as title, price, and ordering on sales performance.
- Implement scalable data pipelines and model training workflows on AWS, ensuring reproducibility and performance at scale.
- Communicate findings and actionable insights to stakeholders through clear visualizations and concise reports.
Requirements
- Advanced degree (PhD or MS) in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or related field.
- Proven experience building production‑grade generative AI or machine learning systems, preferably in e‑commerce or retail.
- Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with AWS services (SageMaker, Lambda, Glue).
- Deep knowledge of statistical methods, econometrics, and data‑driven decision making.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced environment.
