About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and ship scalable security solutions that address complex, high‑impact problems across AWS services.
- Conduct original research and develop machine‑learning models to detect, prevent, and mitigate security threats.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—engineers, product managers, and security experts—to translate scientific insights into production‑ready features.
- Publish findings, create technical documentation, and mentor peers to spread best practices and elevate overall security posture.
- Measure and quantify the long‑term impact of solutions on customer security, privacy, and compliance.
Requirements
- Advanced degree (Ph.D. or Master’s) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, or a related field with a focus on security or machine learning.
- 5+ years of experience building and deploying ML‑driven security analytics on large‑scale cloud platforms.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with AWS services (e.g., SageMaker, Lambda, Kinesis) for data processing and model serving.
- Strong background in statistical modeling, anomaly detection, and cryptographic concepts.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, with a track record of publishing research or delivering innovative solutions in a fast‑paced environment.
