AI Engineer
Lead the design and deployment of AI solutions that streamline clinical workflows, leveraging Python, NLP, and deep learning on AWS to extract insights from unstructured health data and improve patient care.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and production‑grade deploy NLP and machine learning models to extract actionable insights from clinical notes and patient records.
- Collaborate with data scientists, clinicians, and product teams to define problem statements, evaluate model performance, and iterate on solutions.
- Build and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python and cloud services (AWS S3, Glue, SageMaker) to ingest, clean, and transform large volumes of health data.
- Implement model monitoring, logging, and A/B testing frameworks to ensure reliability and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Document model architecture, data schemas, and deployment procedures for internal stakeholders and external audits.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in applied AI/ML engineering within a healthcare or data‑intensive domain.
- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and NLP libraries (spaCy, Hugging Face).
- Hands‑on experience with cloud ML services (AWS SageMaker, Lambda, Step Functions) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of data privacy, security, and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, GDPR).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
