Systems Engineer
Experienced Systems Programmer III needed to design, develop, and maintain enterprise software solutions, leveraging Java, C#, .NET, SQL and Linux environments while supporting business-critical applications for a large public sector organization.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, and deploy enterprise‑level applications using Java, C#/.NET, and related frameworks.
- Maintain and enhance existing systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
- Develop and optimize database schemas, queries, and stored procedures in SQL environments.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in an Agile setting to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Provide tier‑2/3 support, troubleshoot production issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Document code, system architecture, and operational procedures following best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of professional experience in systems programming with Java and C#/.NET.
- Strong proficiency in SQL database design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Hands‑on experience with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting (Bash, PowerShell).
- Demonstrated ability to work in Agile teams, communicate technical concepts clearly, and deliver high‑quality software on schedule.
