Lead application support for automotive retail systems, ensuring high availability and performance across Windows and Linux environments using SQL, scripting, and monitoring tools.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tier‑2/3 support for enterprise applications, diagnosing and resolving complex issues in a fast‑paced retail environment.
- Maintain and optimize Windows Server and Linux infrastructure, including patching, configuration, and performance tuning.
- Develop and maintain SQL queries, scripts, and automation to streamline incident response and data extraction.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to implement change management and release processes.
- Monitor system health using monitoring tools, proactively identifying and mitigating potential outages.
- Document troubleshooting steps, create knowledge base articles, and conduct knowledge transfer sessions.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in application support or systems engineering in a retail or enterprise setting.
- Strong proficiency with Windows Server, Linux, SQL, and scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash).
- Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, or similar).
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently under pressure.
- Effective communication skills and a customer‑focused mindset.
